We want to encourage your church to be part of an exciting joint effort to impact kids and families for Christ during the Games.

The vision is to have 30 local churches across the Gold Coast host a Holiday Club for primary school aged children. These Holiday Clubs would run concurrently from Tuesday 3 April to Friday 6 April 2018. If you’re a church from Queensland or anywhere in Australia, you are welcome to get on board and reach out to the families in your community.

We Have Resources Ready To Go!

The great news is that we have done most of the work for you! We provide you with:

A Planning Guide: Giving you ideas and suggestions on ‘what needs doing when?’ to ensure the smooth running of the holiday program.

Holiday Club Program Templates: Including suggested games, songs, craft activities, devotionals and general structures which work for a half day or full day program. You can adapt this according to your church and community needs.

Team Training Handbook Template: With key information and expectations for team members.

Small Group Booklet for Kids: With basic devotional or thought for the day and applicable activities.

What Do You Provide?

A Venue: You’ll need a place to run the program, which could be your church, a school, community centre or similar venue.

A Team: Recruit a team of suitable leaders to run the program with you. You may like to partner with other churches or mission organisations in your local area to combine resources and find volunteers.

Market Your Holiday Program: You will need to get the word out to your local community and invite families to sign up. Factor in the number of children you would like to sign up and ensuring costs are covered (we have provided some guidelines).

Safety: It is your responsibility to ensure the safety and well being of all children.
