We are establishing a unified prayer canopy over the city, for the Commonwealth Games and beyond.
1. From Africa to Asia, Oceania to the Caribbean, Europe and the Americas, the Commonwealth’s two billion people makeup 30 percent of the world’s population and are of many faiths, races, languages, cultures, and traditions. As representatives of these people visit our city, we have a unique focused opportunity to support Christians of these nations through prayer.
2. The Commonwealth Games will greatly impact the life of the city. A lasting shift in the spiritual atmosphere in this city is possible with concentrated prayer and outreach centred around the games. Beyond the Games there will be a lasting legacy in the life of the city. Prayer is vital if this legacy is to be one with Kingdom values and spiritual openness to the Lordship of Christ.

We have been working on developing a prayer network across the city through events like worship and prayer gatherings, Combined Church worship and prayer events and prayer breakfasts where we have been gathering prayer leaders and teams from different congregations.
