One key initiative from our Prayer Team over the coming months will be a prayer watch to coincide with the Queen’s Baton Relay. 

Our Prayer Watch will follow the progress of the Queen’s Baton Relay. The baton will leave Buckingham Palace on March 15, 2017 and will travel through each of the Commonwealth Nations, spending 2-4 days in each.

Prayer Relay Strategy

This is a call for Churches and individuals across Australia and wider to pray for a Commonwealth nation during the time the baton is in that country/territory. Prayer points will be available from the Gold Coast House of Prayer.

Churches can choose to be engaged by undertaking to Pray for a nation or nations during the Prayer watch for the Commonwealth by one or more of the following:

• Organising a prayer watch …24hr / 12hr / 4 hr with their members participating in 30min or one-hour time slots.
• Organising a corporate prayer gathering (eg an hour or 2 …calling their members to participate).
